At SID 2014, Quantum dot technology claims to improve Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) dramatically in terms of color gamut, color accuracy and reducing power consumption, challenging AMOLED performances.

A real breakthrough for popular LCD, it could reach a fairly high market share in mobile application in the next 10 years.
